Beginning on Sept. 18 with a variety show inspired by one of Cat’ most beloved titles, The Cat in the Hat, Dr. Seuss Enterprises and the Amazon-owned podcast Wondery will be working together to release lots of new content sure to please all the young bookworms and Dr. Seuss fans out there. The Cat in the Hat will be voiced by NYC singer/artist Andrew Barbato, and the Fish will be voiced by actor/filmmaker Brandon Zelman.

“The works of Dr. Seuss have resonated with readers of all ages for generations, and the books promote the importance of staying curious and using your imagination,” CEO and president of Dr. Seuss Enterprises Susan Brandt announced in a statement. “Wondery Kids & Family has an incredible vision for how to bring to life our characters and stories in podcasting form. We believe this collaboration not only builds upon Dr. Seuss’s incredible legacy but also plays a key part of our bigger entertainment strategy for the Dr. Seuss franchise.”

This is truly a natural fit, and we are looking forward to creating an array of programming that entertains and inspires the minds of tomorrow.”

The podcast will feature sing-a-longs, tongue-twisters and wordplay. More series and shows inspired by the work of the late Dr. Seuss will be announced in the coming weeks. If you can’t wait till then, check out Netflix’s Green Eggs and Ham (or any of the other Dr. Seuss-inspired films and shows)!
