MeTV’s ‘Month of Mayberry’ Celebrates Favorite Characters from ‘The Andy Griffith Show’
Starting on Monday, May 18, MeTV will present a week of back-to-back episodes highlighting the best of the rest and featuring The Andy Griffith Show costars as part of the network’s annual “Month of Mayberry,” celebrating all things Andy Griffith.
“The Best of the Rest” week will air Monday-Friday at 8 pm and 8:30 pm, and will feature favorite Aunt Bee episodes and other sidekicks, including Floyd, Ernest T. Bass, Gomer, Goober, and Otis. The whole week’s schedule is listed below.

Monday, May 18
8pm ET/PT – “Aunt Bee the Warden” (Originally aired Monday, March 12, 1962)
With the jail full of angry moonshiners, Otis serves his latest public intoxication sentence at the Taylor residence under the stern and watchful eye of Aunt Bee.
8:30pm ET/PT – “Aunt Bee’s Medicine Man” (Originally aired March 11, 1963)
Andy must protect Aunt Bee from a charming traveling, dishonest huckster whose 170-proof “tonic” provides temporary relief from mid-life crisis.

8pm ET/PT- “Three Wishes for Opie” (Originally aired December 21, 1964)
Barney buys a fortune-telling game and lets Opie try it out.
8:30pm ET/PT – “Gomer the House Guest” (Originally aired November 4, 1963)
After Gomer gets fired from the filling station (losing his room there), he moves in with Andy. When people come by the house at all hours of the night to get their cars looked at, Andy knows he has to do something.
Wednesday, May 20
8pm ET/PT – “Goober and the Art of Love” (Originally aired February 1, 1965)
When Andy and Barney get tired of Goober tagging along on their dates, they decide to try teaching him how to act around women and then get him to ask a girl on a date. It proves to be quite a project.
8:30pm ET/PT – “Floyd the Gay Deceiver” (Originally aired November 26, 1962)
In pen-pal correspondences with a wealthy widow, Floyd has presented himself as equally well off. Her sudden decision to visit Mayberry leaves him in a tizzy and begging for Andy’s help in maintaining the ruse.
Thursday, May 21
8pm ET/PT – “My Fair Ernest T. Bass” (Originally aired February 3, 1964)
In order to help Ernest T. Bass find a girl, Andy and Barney attempt to teach him some manners and get him dressed up. Then they try to pass him off at a party as Andy’s cousin from Raleigh.
8:30pm ET/PT – “Hot Rod Otis” (Originally aired February 17, 1964)
Otis has Andy and Barney worried when he buys a car.

8pm ET/PT – “The Rumor” (Originally aired April 27, 1964)
Barney sees Andy and Helen in the jewelry store, sneaking a kiss, and tells everyone they are engaged. Aunt Bee redecorates Andy’s room for a bride and throws a big surprise party for them.
8:30pm ET/PT- “The Manicurist” (Originally aired January 22, 1962)
When a pretty young manicurist starts working in Floyd’s Barber Shop, the men are uneasy about it at first, but eventually take to the idea in a big way. Their jealous wives, however, do not.
