One fan didn’t feel the puppy love at a show during a show during Donny Osmond‘s residency at Harrah’s Showroom in Las Vegas — Joanne Julkowski has filed a lawsuit against Osmond and the casino, alleging that she was hit by a “lighted ball” prop during the show, and suffered life-altering injuries as a result.
The lawsuit stems from a February 2024 performance, where, according to the Daily Mail, Julkowski was “struck in the back of the head by one of the lighted balls that had been thrown or propelled into the crowd.” The lawsuit claims that this led to a chain of injuries including retinal detachment, and needed surgery to be treated.
The Daily Mail reports that “Even after undergoing the procedure, Julkowski alleges she has been left with ongoing visual impairment, as well as head and neck injuries stemming from the impact.”
The balls that are tossed into the audience during Osmond’s stage show can be seen in the video below:
The lawsuit names Osmond himself, Donny Osmond Concerts Inc., and Harrah’s Las Vegas as defendants, and seeks damages in excess of $15,000.
Osmond has been performing consistently on the Vegas strip for nearly 20 years, beginning with his show with sister Marie, which began in 2008 and ran for 11 years. Osmond began performing a solo show at Harrah’s in 2021, a residency that has been extended several times, and is currently scheduled to continue through late December 2026.
In a recent social media post, Osmond wrote “I can’t wait to be back on the Harrah’s stage – giving it everything I’ve got,” alongside a video that humorously showed him cleaning props off the stage after a concert.

In a 2023 social media post about extending his Vegas residency, Osmond wrote that he was “So excited to keep the party going.” He has not publicly commented on the lawsuit. Harrah’s Las Vegas also has yet to release a statement about the lawsuit.
