Jayne Trcka, a bodybuilder known for roles in The Drew Carey Show and Scary Movie, was found dead in her San Diego, California, home in December 2025 — and her cause of death was just released.

On February 11, the San Diego County Medical Examiner confirmed to Entertainment Weekly that Trcka, 62, died from heart and circulation issues before she was found dead at her home on December 12.

Specifically, Trcka died from hypertensive and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, and the condition was complicated by a left femoral fracture. Chronic alcohol use was also a contributing factor. Her death was ruled an accident.


Trcka competed in bodybuilding in the ’80s before landing the role of Miss Mann in Scary Movie (2000). She also appeared as herself in a 1990 episode of The Drew Carey Show and popped up in another Drew Carey-led series, Whose Line Is It Anyway?, in 2003.

Additionally, Trcka notably appeared in Lady Gaga‘s 2010 music video for Telephone as well as in films like Cattle Call, Nudity Required, The Black Magic, The Interplanetary Surplus Male, and Amazon Women of Outer Space.

When news of Trcka’s death broke in early January, fans shared their reactions and tributes on social media. One X user commented, “Remembering the strong Miss Mann, not just a role, but an inspiration in fitness and comedy. 💔😢💪🏼.”

Another X user shared, “‘Take off your bra if you’d like…’  She was hilarious in that scene. Rest peacefully. “

Someone else wrote, “She was definitely iconic in Scary Movie. May God rest her soul.”
