Bewitched star Erin Murphy weighed in on the possibility of a reboot 60 years after she made her acting debut in the beloved sitcom.
During an interview with New Idea published on February 9, Murphy, 61, admitted that she was “excited” about the possibility of a reboot of Bewitched.
“If they asked me to appear on the show, absolutely I would!” she shared. “I’d love to be included in some way, and I know fans of the original Bewitched would enjoy that fun reference to the past.”
Murphy — who played Tabitha, the daughter of Samantha Stephens (Elizabeth Montgomery) and Darrin Stephens (Dick York, later Dick Sargent), from 1966 to 1972 — also revealed that reality TV roles are what she currently covets.
“I’d love to take part in the Aussie I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, or Dancing with the Stars,” she shared. “I love reality television, and the challenge of being out of my comfort zone.”

If Murphy were to snag a reality TV role, it wouldn’t be her first. The actress previously appeared in RuPaul‘s Drag U and Hulk Hogan‘s Celebrity Championship Wrestling, after all.
Bewitched aired for eight seasons from 1964 to 1972. In addition to Murphy, York, and Sargent, the show featured Agnes Moorehead as Endora, David White as Larry Tate, George Tobias as Abner Kravitz, Kasey Rogers as Louise Tate, and others.
During an October interview with Remind, Murphy reflected on the longevity of Bewitched.
“It was done right,” she declared. “It was great writing, great directing and just an amazing cast. I just think it has held up very well. Plus, it’s one of the shows that translates very well to other countries, because it’s so colorful and with the magic and all of that; we’re on in 100 countries still. There are places where Bewitched is part of the primetime lineup still, which is kind of amazing. But it’s because the show translates so well.”
