Selena Gomez recently reunited with her Wizards of Waverly Place dad, David DeLuise, 14 years after the Disney Channel series ended.
On February 6, DeLuise, 54, took to Instagram with a carousel of photos of himself with Gomez, 33, thrilling fans in the process.
“Such a joyful night full of laughter, love, and the kind of fun that reminds you how good it feels to reconnect with family!” he captioned the update. “The best reunion ever ❤️.”
In the featured image, DeLuise (Jerry Russo), Gomez (Alex Russo), and Wizards of Waverly Place costumer Shannon Moore smiled for a photo. Actress Jennifer Stone (Harper Finkle) and hairstylist Roxanne Baker-Sarver appeared in other snaps, alongside many others.

Wizards of Waverly Place aired for four seasons from 2007 to 2012 on the Disney Channel. In addition to Gomez and DeLuise, the series starred David Henrie as Justin Russo, Jake T. Austin as Max Russo, and Maria Canals-Barrera as Theresa Russo.
In October 2024, a reboot series, titled Wizards Beyond Waverly Place, premiered on the Disney Channel, with Season 2 kicking off in September 2025. The show stars Henrie, who reprised his role as Justin, as well as an all-new cast that includes: Janice LeeAnn Brown (Billie), Alkaio Thiele (Roman Russo), Max Matenko (Milo Russo), Mimi Gianopulos (Giada Russo), Taylor Cora (Winter), and others. (Gomez has also appeared in four episodes so far.)
As of writing, Disney has not officially renewed Wizards Beyond Waverly Place for Season 3.
