Glenn is best known for his 1987 cover of “Nothing’s Gonna Change My Love for You.” Today, he lives in Hawaii with his wife, Tammy — with whom he welcomed Lyric and her brother, Chord, 25 — and is the president of an all-boys school, the Saint Louis School in Honolulu.
On January 19, Lyric, 24, posted a TikTok video with her famous father. “When my ’80s teenage pop star dad asks me what I post about on TikTok,” she captioned the update. The clip showed her dancing enthusiastically as Glenn stood blank-faced in the background.

On a January 30 interview with Today, Lyric admitted she wasn’t aware of Glenn’s pop stardom until she was in middle school. “I remember adults coming up to me and saying, ‘Ohhh, Medeiros! Like Glenn Medeiros, the guy who sang that love song!'” she recalled. “And then they start singing it in front of me. Older women would come up to me and say, ‘Oh, he was a heartthrob!'”
The talent for music seems to have rubbed off on Lyric, too, as she competed in Season 21 of American Idol, making it to the Hollywood Round.
