The Dukes of Hazzard star John Schneider just marked the 47th anniversary of the show’s premiere on social media.
On Monday, January 26, Schneider — who starred as Beauregard “Bo” Duke in the beloved action-comedy series — took to Facebook with photos of The Dukes of Hazzard scenes and a message.
“Happy 47th anniversary to the greatest show of all time!” he declared. “47 years ago today, ‘One Armed Bandits’ was on television for the first time, and the world got to meet the Duke family.”
Schneider added, “Since we are kind of stranded at the moment, we decided to start watching the show again. Great show and great times!”
In the comments, fans joined Schneider in celebrating the Dukes of Hazzard milestone while also sharing their fond memories of the CBS series. One Facebook user shared, “I am rewatching the entire series. This was the 80s version of Andy Griffith. Lessons learned along the way. There is nothing on TV like this anymore.”
