The man once known to TV fans as Mr. Big, Chris Noth, isn’t above taking jabs at his former Sex and the City costar Sarah Jessica Parker, who was recently honored with the 2026 Carol Burnett Award at the Golden Globes. On January 9, Noth posted a gym selfie to Instagram, captioning it, “F&@k new years – LETS GO!!!!”

The post drew attention not just for its blunt caption, but for the way Noth responded to fans in the comments, especially when the discussion turned to Ms. Parker.

One fan chimed in, “You mean f**k SJP & her award right? lol.”

To which the actor answered, “Right.”

The reply seemed to remark upon a feud that sparked back in 2021 when Noth was accused of sexual assault by two women, who told the Hollywood Reporter they were raped by the actor. Noth denied the accusations, calling them “categorically false.” As a result, the cast of SATC allegedly cut ties with the actor.

“The accusations against me made by individuals I met years, even decades, ago are categorically false. These stories could’ve been from 30 years ago or 30 days ago – no always means no – that is a line I did not cross. The encounters were consensual. It’s difficult not to question the timing of these stories coming out. I don’t know for certain why they are surfacing now, but I do know this: I did not assault these women,” Noth said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter.

On January 7, Sarah Jessica Parker received the 2026 Carol Burnett Award, three nights before the Golden Globes main event at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The honor recognized her decades of work across television and film.

Noth and Parker began working together in 1998, when he was cast as Mr. Big on HBO megahit Sex and the City. The series ran for six seasons, and spawned two follow-up movies, 2008’s Sex and the City and 2010’s Sex and the City 2, both of which starred Noth.

He later reprised the role in the Sex and the City follow-up series, …And Just Like That, but only for the premiere episode. His long-running character died of a heart attack, leaving Parker’s Carrie Bradshaw a widow.

In the aftermath of the allegations, Parker and the rest of the SATC cast issued a statement expressing their support for the women who came forward.

In a joint statement shared to social media, the cast wrote: “We are deeply saddened to hear the allegations against Chris Noth. We support the women who have come forward and shared their painful experiences.”

After the statement, Parker and the cast allegedly separated themselves from the actor. Noth continued to deny the allegations, but he did elaborate on his infidelity. “You give yourself the same excuses that many men do; it’s just a little side dance, and it’s fun,” he said, as reported by People.
