The Bionic Woman, which premiered on January 14, 1976, introducing television audiences to a very different kind of action hero. Spun off from The Six Million Dollar Man, the series centered on Jaime Sommers, a former tennis pro navigating extraordinary abilities while trying to hold onto her humanity. The show gave viewers one of TV’s first female superheroes — a legacy still felt five decades later.
As the show marks its 50th anniversary, here’s a look at which main cast members are still alive, along with a remembrance of those who are no longer with us.

Lindsay Wagner first appeared as Jaime Sommers on The Six Million Dollar Man and the positive response to the character was so overwhelming that her story quickly grew into a series of its own. She won a Primetime Emmy Award in 1977, becoming the first performer to receive a lead acting Emmy for a science fiction television role.
After The Bionic Woman ended in 1978, Wagner transitioned into television films and high-profile miniseries, including the popular 1980 event Scruples. She reprised the role of Jaime several times in made-for-TV reunion movies alongside Lee Majors between 1987 and 1994, keeping the character alive for a new generation. In later years, Wagner continued appearing on screen in guest and recurring roles, including Warehouse 13, Alphas, NCIS, and Grey’s Anatomy, while also lending her likeness and voice to the video game Death Stranding.
