What To Know

  • Kat Dennings expressed surprise at the 15th anniversary of 2 Broke Girls and shared mixed feelings about the show’s unresolved cliffhanger ending.
  • She acknowledged fans’ ongoing desire for a reboot or proper wrap-up, noting that reboots are popular.
  • Fans continue to clamor for more episodes or a movie, while also remarking on how little Dennings and the cast have aged since the show ended.

Kat Dennings recently weighed on the possibility of a 2 Broke Girls reboot, 15 years after the beloved sitcom ended.

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight shared via TikTok on January 7, the actress behind Max Black revealed her true feelings about the show ending as it did.

“Can you believe this year marks the 15th anniversary of 2 Broke Girls?” the interviewer pointed out.

To that, Dennings exclaimed, “What?! I did not know that. That makes me feel very existential and very aged. Clearly, I need to do some self-reflection.”

She then joked,“I need to dig the waitress uniform out of my storage unit, see if it still fits. It probably will not. But wow, that is truly insane.”

When the interviewer shared that 2 Broke Girls fans still want more of the show, Dennings lamented, “I know. We were robbed of our, like, wrap-up. It ended on a cliffhanger, which is so sad for everybody.”

She offered a bit of consolation, sharing, “Maybe someday, there’ll be a reboot. They’re rebooting things now, so maybe, maybe someday.”

Dennings and Beth Behrs (as Caroline Channing) starred in 2 Broke Girls for six seasons from 2011 to 2017. In the Season 6 finale, Randy (Ed Quinn) proposed to Max, and Caroline and Bobby (Christopher Gorham) argued outside of their dessert bar/restaurant. However, CBS suddenly canceled the series, and fans never got a proper resolution to the storylines.

In the comments of the ET TikTok video, plenty of fans clamored for a reboot. One TikTok user wrote, “💯 need more 2 Broke Girls.”

Another shared, “2 Broke Girls should have a wrap-up season or even a movie tie-in!!!” as a third declared, “I NEED A REBOOT!!”

Meanwhile, other fans couldn’t get over how much Dennings hadn’t aged in 15 years since the show ended. One TikTok user marveled, “She looks exactly the same😭😍.”

A second echoed, “15 years later?!? She literally looks the same. She does not age!!!”

Yet another fan commented, “Can they just do the 7th now?😭 I swear none of the cast has aged.”
