The Emperor’s New Groove is celebrating its 25th anniversary, and Patrick Warburton celebrated by having his three adult sons try their hand at voicing Kronk in the beloved Disney animated movie.
On December 15, Disney’s official Instagram account shared a clip of Warburton’s sons — Talon, Shane, and Grabriel — joining him in a studio to run some of Kronk’s most iconic lines from the 2000 film. Fans were shocked to learn that Talon, in particular, sounds exactly like his famous dad.
In the clip, Warburton and his sons recited in unison Kronk’s rambling line about poison. “This is surreal,” Warburton pointed out, as his sons laughed.
Another shot featured just Talon saying the line, and fans were flabbergasted by how identical his voice was to his father’s. He recited in perfect rhythm, “Oh, right, the poison. The poison for Kuzco. The poison chosen especially to kill Kuzco. Kuzco’s poison. That poison?”
Gabriel then tried his hand at the character, declaring, “Don’t drink the wine. *Clears throat* Poison!”
Meanwhile, Shane, who also did a respectable Kronk, recited, “Well, he’s uh, not as dead as we would have hoped.
Talon then perfectly read, “Three oinkers wearing pants, plate of hot air, basket of Grandma’s breakfast, and change the bull to a gill, got it.”
To that, Warburton said, “It’s almost as if you’re a clone.”
Gabriel, as Kronk, said to Yzma (Eartha Kitt) Break it down, are you kidding me? This is hand-carved mahogany,” as the two characters were shut in Pacha’s (John Goodman) closet.
At the end, all four men confidently said, “Squeak squeakin’ squeak squeakity.”
“With the exception of one of you, you guys were great,” Warburton said to his sons (likely referring to Gabriel). “Really good job.”

In the comments of the Instagram post, David Spade (who played Kuzco) joked, “Great. Have them do mine now. 🦙.”
A video of the voiceover session shared on TikTok also elicited many strong reactions. One fan admitted, “I thought the first one was the dad’s voice 💀 I was confused lol.”
Another TikTok user insisted, “The first son more him than him fr 😂,” as a third echoed, “Yeah, Talon needs to become a VA because that Warburton mantle needs to continue. Patrick Warburton is one of my favorite VAs.”
Someone else wondered, “WHO LEFT PATRICK IN THE COPIER??! Now they’re everywhere. 💕,” as a second agreed, writing, “He said print+ print+ print+🤣🤣🤣.”
“We got Kronk for the next generation? Outstanding,” a different TikTok user pointed out.
Yet another viewer summed up the video perfectly, writing, “#1 is the voice clone, #2 is the face clone, #3 maybe in a couple more years will sound more like Patrick.”
Meanwhile, someone else lamented, “IT’S 25 YEARS OLD??? HOW OLD AM I??”
In addition to Kronk in The Emperor’s New Groove, Warburton is best known for voicing Joe Swanson in Family Guy and Brock Samson in The Venture Bros.
