Welcome to REMIND! Where the Past Is a Blast!

Fans of our popular nostalgia magazine, ReMIND, have long wished for a place to gather to celebrate pop culture and entertainment from the ’50s, ’60s, ’70s, ’80s and ’90s that we all so love and miss. Well, your wish has been answered as us old codgers (and some young’uns) have finally caught up to today’s technology and learned a whole lot about this thing called the World Wide Web and how to share more memories, stories, photos, trivia and just plain fun. So here we are — welcome to ReMIND!

When you stop by to visit us, prepare to be transported back to an earlier era. You’ll enjoy nostalgic looks at the TV shows, movies, stars, music, cars, sports, fashion, food and radio that defined your favorite decades.

The site is far more than a complement to the magazine and extends way beyond what we could do in print. Let’s just walk through a few of the highlights and what you can expect.

Daily Pop Quiz

We know you like trivia and prizes!

That’s why the magazine is packed with over 10 pages of puzzles and includes some pretty unique prizes. Well, we picked up on that and the website will feature Daily Pop Quiz.

It’s super fun and simple. A new quiz is posted daily (Monday through Friday). You can play once or a couple times or all five days at once (that is, if you visit us on the weekend). Click on PLAY TO WIN and the rest is self-explanatory. Those who play and submit their name and email are entered into our random drawing to receive a really random prize.

Remind homepage

As for the prizes, we’re starting out with some favorite issues of ReMIND Magazine from the past, but coming later we’ve got a giant (and we mean giant) box of Whitman’s chocolates (compliments of Pluto TV and the launch of their I Love Lucy channel), collectibles, books and more.

Classic TV

When it comes to TV, most sites (including our sister site TVInsider) tell you what’s new and what to watch each day, which is totally fine.

But not us.

We scour, and we mean scour, through network schedules to find those gems — memorable episodes of classic TV and obscure programming on stars, toys, music and history. Got a show we should be considering or programming you want us to look out for? Send us a note at remindmag@ntvbmedia.com

Collectibles

You may or may not know this, but we are insane about collectors and their collections. From Barbie and Beanie Babies to Cabbage Patch Kids, beer cans, Farrah Fawcett, I Love Lucy, Elvis and so much more. Look for all of these fascinating stories and more to be shared. And if you are a collector and want to be featured, give us a shout, we’d love to hear from you.

Fan Cons

It’s amazing how many Fan Cons are popping up around the country. If you’re not familiar, we geek out on these! You can meet your favorite celeb from the past, get photos and autographs (or just swoon), shop for collectibles, or just meet and talk to fellow fans/dorks/nerds who are just as passionate as you. We are frequent attendees to the Mid-Atlantic Nostalgia Convention and the Hollywood Show, but will be expanding our coverage further, bringing you exclusive video, photos and more! We’re gathering all the upcoming shows in our database of Fan Cons, which you can search now. Oh, and if you are an event coordinator and want your show added, dude, just shoot us a note now.

And, just like the magazine, if you’ve got a story that deserves sharing — a celebrity meetup from days gone by, an amazing collection, endearing family photos, awesome toys from your childhood — Jeez Louise, let us know, as we’d love to share the love.
