What To Know

  • Many of the child actors who played the McCallister siblings and cousins in Home Alone have since left Hollywood, pursuing careers in fields such as sports, business, and technical work.
  • Some, like Devin Ratray and Angela Goethals, continued acting in film and television, while Michael C. Maronna transitioned to a behind-the-scenes role in the entertainment industry.
  • Kieran Culkin, who played cousin Fuller, achieved significant critical success as an adult, most notably starring in HBO’s Succession and winning an Academy Award in 2024.

When Home Alone premiered on November 16, 1990, it was popular — but few knew it would become one of the most popular holiday films of all time. We all remember the movie’s stars, Macaulay Culkin, Catherine O’Hara and Joe Pesci, but a big part of the movie’s charm came from the supporting kids who made the McCallister house feel like a real family. Over 30 years later, many of those young cast members stepped away from Hollywood, while others kept working. Here’s a look at what happened to the McCallister siblings and cousins.

He reprised Buzz in Home Sweet Home Alone in 2021. Ratray has since stepped away from the spotlight after allegations of domestic violence and sexual assault became public.
