American Pie star Tara Reid was rushed to a hospital after a video showed her being carried out on a stretcher from a hotel near Chicago.
On Sunday, November 23, a clip of Reid, 50, obtained by TMZ showed paramedics moving the actress from a hotel lobby to an ambulance.
Rosemont Public Safety confirmed that a DoubleTree hotel placed a call for an ambulance at 12:39 a.m. on Sunday for a “sick person,” and that a “patient was transported to the hospital,” per People.
Later, Reid told TMZ that she checked into her hotel room late Saturday night and then went downstairs for a drink and a cigarette. She claimed that she went outside to smoke and came back into the bar to see a napkin placed over her glass of wine, noting there were a “bunch of YouTubers” at the hotel filming in the lobby. Reid said she did not place the napkin there and removed it, allegedly only having that one drink. The next thing she remembered was waking up in a hospital.
“Without even finishing my drink, I just, like, passed out,” Reid told TMZ Live. “Before I knew it, I was at the hospital, eight hours later. It’s just really scary… You have to really be careful with your drink…[The hospital] said, ‘You got drugged last night at the bar.’”
A representative for Reid told The Independent, “Tara Reid has filed a police report after an incident in which she believes her drink was tampered with. She is cooperating fully with the investigation. Tara is recovering and asks for privacy during this traumatic time.”
The statement continued, “She also urges everyone to be careful, watch your drinks and never leave them unattended, as this can happen to anyone. She will not be making further comments at this stage.”

Reid played Vicki in the original American Pie (1999), as well as the 2001 sequel American Pie 2. Although she did not return for American Wedding (2003), the actress reprised her role in American Reunion (2012).
