Among the keepsakes that Van Der Beek is auctioning off is the outfit he wore while filming the pilot episode; it’s predicted to sell for up to $4,000, per People. Also included is the necklace Dawson gave to Joey Potter (Katie Holmes) for prom. That piece of jewelry is estimated to go for $26,400 to $52,800. Proceeds will go to Van Der Beek’s cancer treatment expenses.
The father of six added, “While I have some nostalgia tugging at me as I part with these items, it feels good to be able to offer them through Propstore’s auction to share with those who have supported my work over the years.”
