Osmonds fans, rejoice! Two of the original family band brothers recently reunited, when Merrill Osmond went to see his brother Donny Osmond‘s Las Vegas show — an occasion which culminated in the two singing the 1971 Osmonds hit “Double Lovin’.”
Merrill officially retired from performing in early 2023, so it was an amazing and unexpected treat for fans to see the two together. Merrill then posted the video of the duet to his Facebook account
Of course, like many siblings, there was a little friendly rivalry on display. Donny jokingly yelled, “That’s my song, you had nothing to do with that song!” when Merrill suggested they sing one of Donny’s hits together.
Merrill then said a few words, about how he has seen the show a few times but admitted that “it gets better every time,” praising his brother for his work ethic and performances.

Merrill wrote on Facebook, alongside a few videos of the experience during the show and backstage, “I went to see my brother Donny’s show last night, and sitting there watching him perform brought back so many memories of where it all began. I couldn’t help but think about our parents — how they set the tone, created the foundation, and showed us what true love really means. They taught us unity, oneness, and what it means to live a Christlike life. Their influence is in everything we do, even after all these years.”
Backstage, they joked around and then spoke about how much it means to them to have their childhood and life available to rewatch on videos. Donny has been meticulous about keeping everything and digitizing old shows to save for future generations.
It truly appeared to be a special night, one that Merrill almost missed because he was going to go to the movies instead! If you’re interested in attending Donny’s show, you can purchase tickets online. You never know who might show up during the show.
