Who’s Still Alive From ‘Bullitt’?

Bullitt, released on October 17, 1968, became a landmark in action cinema, thanks mainly to its groundbreaking San Francisco car chase and the performance of Steve McQueen as Lt. Frank Bullitt. It became one of the most influential crime dramas of its era, and while many of the stars of Bullitt are no longer with us, a few remain. Here’s a look at who’s still alive and what they’re up to now.
Jacqueline Bisset (81)

Born in England, Jacqueline Bisset went on to a long and celebrated career in both European and American cinema. She appeared in hits like The Deep, Murder on the Orient Express, and Rich and Famous. She has continued to work steadily into recent years, taking on roles in television and film well into her 70s and 80s. In 2014, she won a Golden Globe for her performance in the BBC miniseries Dancing on the Edge.
Robert Duvall (94)
Cabbie

Though his role in Bullitt was small, Robert Duvall made an impression as the helpful San Francisco cab driver who provides Bullitt with information. At the time, Duvall was still early in his career, but he would go on to become one of America’s greatest actors. He is best known for his roles in The Godfather series, Apocalypse Now, and Tender Is the Night, for which he won an Academy Award. Now in his 90s, Duvall has slowed down but still makes select appearances in film. His most recent film was in 2022’s The Pale Blue Eye.
