What To Know

  • Stevie Nicks has teased the release of a second Barbie doll in her likeness, following the rapid sellout of her first Barbie in 2023.
  • The original Stevie Nicks Barbie, styled after her Rumours era, became a highly sought-after collector’s item, often reselling for two to three times its original price.
  • Fans speculate the new doll may be inspired by Nicks’ 1981 solo album Bella Donna, but official details about the design and release date have not yet been confirmed.

It looks like Stevie Nicks is getting another Barbie in her likeness. The Fleetwood Mac legend recently teased on Instagram that another Stevie Nicks doll could be on the way, showing classic Barbie feet in white platform boots and white leg warmers — and fans are already buzzing about what the new doll might look like. If history is any indication, this release will be just as popular as the first one, which sold out immediately in 2023 and has been reselling online for a substantial amount ever since.

In the Instagram post, Nicks shared a photo and wrote, “I’m so excited to announce something very special coming in two weeks.. stay tuned for more details!”

That first Stevie Nicks Barbie captured her Rumours era style perfectly. Dressed in a flowing black dress with chiffon sleeves, knee-high boots, a moon pendant, and a tambourine with ribbon streamers, it felt like a miniature version of the Stevie that fans fell in love with in the late 1970s. The doll was priced at $55, but collectors scooped it up so quickly that it rarely stayed in stock. Now, unopened versions can fetch two or three times the price, sometimes even more, as it has become one of the most sought-after pieces in Mattel’s Music Series line. On eBay alone, many of the dolls sell for around $150-200.

This time around, fans think Nicks might be preparing something different. On Instagram, speculation is growing that the new doll could be styled after her 1981 solo album, Bella Donna. That record marked her first step outside of Fleetwood Mac and became an instant classic with songs like “Edge of Seventeen.” The album cover features Nicks in a flowing white gown with ruched boots, holding a dove. While Nicks has not confirmed details like the release date or final design, the fact that she is hinting at a second Barbie is enough to keep collectors and fans on alert. Sounds like we will find out more in just a few weeks, so stay tuned!
