The night also includes Lansbury’s Best Supporting Actress-nominated performances in The Picture of Dorian Gray (1945) and The Manchurian Candidate (1962), where she gives a wonderfully and unexpectedly sinister performance.

The final night of the Lansbury celebration on Oct. 23 features five titles from across her career, beginning with Death on the Nile (1978), the Agatha Christie-based mystery starring Peter Ustinov in his first turn as detective Hercule Poirot. Other highlights include The Reluctant Debutante (1958), a comedy starring Rex Harrison and Kay Kendall, and All Fall Down (1962), a drama that re-teamed Lansbury with Manchurian director John Frankenheimer and found her playing a similarly destructive and manipulative mother character.
