‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ Comes to MeTV Toons This September

Grab your pizza and your nunchucks, because the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are heading back to TV, joining the lineup on MeTV Toons, the channel devoted entirely to classic animation. Starting on September 15, the original 1980s and ’90s series featuring everyone’s favorite turtles will air Monday through Friday at 7:30am , 4:00pm, and again at midnight ET/PT.
The show first hit the airwaves in 1987 with a five-part miniseries, before launching into a regular run the following year. For eight seasons, Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, Michelangelo and of course, Master Splinter, brought martial arts action to living rooms everywhere, inspiring generations of kids with their sunny attitudes and eternal fight against the evil Shredder. In the decades since that original series, the turtles have been the subject of numerous reboots, and the original crew made appearances in crossovers like the 2009 film Turtles Forever, proving their staying power across the decades.
MeTV Toons prides itself on being a home for the very best in classic animation, from Golden Age theatrical shorts to the Saturday morning staples so many of us grew up with. The network showcases beloved characters like Bugs Bunny, Scooby-Doo, Tom and Jerry, Yogi Bear, Popeye and The Flintstones, alongside timeless icons such as Woody Woodpecker, Casper, Betty Boop and Speed Racer. With the addition of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the channel continues its mission of bringing back the cartoons that defined childhood in many different decades.
For those who want to tune in, MeTV Toons can be found nationwide through over-the-air stations and streaming on platforms such as Philo, Frndly TV, and Fubo. It’s also now available on DirecTV and DirecTV Stream, with full details on where to watch at MeTVToons.com.
