Which ‘Happy Days’ Star Just Gave Fans an Update After His Surgery?

Just around a week after attending the Tampa Bay Comic & Pop Culture Convention with his former Happy Days costar Don Most, Anson Williams had to undergo surgery for a hernia. Just before the surgery, Williams shared a few silly posts about how he was feeling going under the knife, looking a little nervous and revealing that he was about to go into the operating room. He joked alongside two pre-surgery photos, “Going in for Hernia surgery. One photo is how I am really feeling. Can you spot the real me right now?”
Less than a day after that post, he gave fans and update and said that the surgery was a success. Alongside a funny photo of himself and Most back in the day, he wrote, “Well, yesterday was painful. I was medicated which was nice. I was having some interesting dreams as you can see. Tomorrow will be better but no housekeeping for a few days.”
He continued, “Seriously though, my doctor and the team at the hospital are the best. The staff at Providence Hospital, I am so thankful for them. Dr. Faires…I am just very lucky. And, thank you all for your kind words.”
This isn’t Williams first time in a hospital. Back in December 2016, he was diagnosed with colon cancer and had two surgeries. After spending three weeks in the hospital, he made a full recovery and is doing quite well now.
When he isn’t reliving his “happy days” at conventions, Williams tried his hand at politics. In 2022, he ran for major of the small California town Ojai, but lost by a small margin. He has said he remains close with many of his Happy Days costars including Most and Ron Howard.
