You Won’t Believe This Smurfs Superfan’s Massive Collection — See It on ‘Collector’s Call’ (Exclusive)
With a new Smurfs movie out now, many fans are proclaiming it to be a “Smurf Summer.” And if you’re one of those fans, you’ll definitely want to tune into the next episode of MeTV‘s Collector’s Call: A collector named Andrew Somer has been collecting Smurf memorabilia for decades, and is ready to show off his impressive collection on Sunday, July 20 at 6:30pm ET.
Somer will be showcasing many one-of-a-kind pieces, including wax prototypes from the 1980s along with miniature figurines, an entire end cap shelf display, and even a letter from the daughter of Peyo, the creator of the Smurfs characters. He loves store display pieces, and expert appraiser and toy shop owner John Ragusa will see if he can make a trade with Somer, swapping one of Somer’s display stands for a one-of-its-kind keychain display.
