Forty years ago, on July 13, 1985, Live Aid was the first of its kind — a star-packed mega concert aimed at providing real financial relief for a harrowing social problem. Featuring more than 70 bands and singers from around the globe, and organized by The Boomtown Rats singer Bob Geldof and Ultravox’s Midge Ure, Live Aid took place simultaneously at London’s Wembley Stadium and John F. Kennedy Stadium in Philadelphia. The event was broadcast live to nearly two billion people in 150 countries and raised around $127 million for famine relief in Ethiopia. Think you’re a Live Aid expert? See if you can guess which artist performed each of these songs!

PS: If you want to relive it, you can watch the whole BBC broadcast of Live Aid performance for free here or check out exclusive content and more on the official Live Aid YouTube channel.
