Emerging from the U.K. punk rock scene as frontman of Generation X before going on his own, the legendary Billy Idol rode the MTV wave during the 1980s’ “Second British Invasion.” The “Rebel Yell” singer had a bit of a lull in the 1990s, but reemerged again in the 2000s. Idol released his new EP The Cage in 2022 and is currently touring.
This weekend he will be popping back up on our TVs for the rebroadcast of the 2009 Soundstage special, Billy Idol: In Super Overdrive Live, which airs on AXS TV Saturday, June 3 at 8pm ET!
