Little Tabitha from ‘Bewitched’ is 61! Where is Erin Murphy Now?

BEWITCHED, Elizabeth Montgomery, Erin Murphy, Dick Sargent
Everett Collection

Erin Murphy turns 61 on June 17, 2025 — and while that makes her very much an adult, for many of us, she’ll always be that sweet little girl who could twitch her nose and work some magic. From the moment she stepped onto the set of Bewitched in the third season, Murphy became a fan favorite as Tabitha Stephens, the lovable daughter of Samantha and Darrin. What some fans might not know is that she wasn’t the only actress playing Tabitha at first. Erin shared the role with her fraternal twin sister, Diane, in those early episodes, until the two began to look less alike and Erin took over full-time.

Born in Encino, California, in 1964, Murphy was only two when she landed the role that would define her childhood. After Bewitched wrapped in 1972, she popped up on shows like Lassie, starred in more than 100 commercials, and later took on jobs as varied as makeup artist, casting director and even stunt double. She was also a high school cheerleader and homecoming queen at El Toro High.

Over the years, she hosted segments for TVLand and E!, co-owned a vodka martini pop company and appeared in a surprising number of reality TV programs. You might have caught her on 1 vs. 100, Craft Lab, or even Hulk Hogan’s Celebrity Championship Wrestling, where she took on the ring name Mistress of Mayhem. In a later appearance on Rupaul’s Drag U, she showed once again that she’s always up for a new adventure.

In her personal life, she’s a writer with a focus on fashion and lifestyle, a public speaker who frequently advocates for autism awareness, and a mom to six kids, one of whom is on the autism spectrum. She’s lived in a ranch house with alpacas in Bell Canyon and later bought her dream home on the beach in Malibu. Somewhere in there, she also found time to launch a knitwear brand featuring hand-spun alpaca garments. Murphy has also played in celebrity poker tournaments. What hasn’t she done?

Send her some birthday wishes in the comments!
