‘Murder, She Wrote’ Joins Start TV Network Lineup This July

The beloved 1980s drama Murder, She Wrote will be added to Start TV this coming July, with a celebratory marathon of episodes airing for the Fourth of July holiday before the series moves to its regular Monday through Sunday schedule of 9am, 10am and 4pm ET/PT. The immensely popular amateur detective series is the latest to join Start TV’s lineup of dramas showcasing intelligent and empowered female leading characters.

Murder She Wrote, one of the longest running series in television history, follows mystery writer and amateur sleuth Jessica Fletcher (played by the late, great Angela Lansbury) who becomes involved in solving murders that take place in the fictional town of Cabot Cove, Maine. The series garnered huge ratings during its original broadcast and was a CBS Sunday night staple 12 seasons, from 1984 to 1996. Lansbury was nominated for ten Golden Globes (winning four) and 12 Emmy Awards. The series itself earned three Emmy nominations and six Golden Globe nominations in the same category, with two major wins.

A marathon of 65 episodes and 2 TV movies will air 4th of July weekend, beginning Sunday, July 2 at noon and continuing through to Wednesday, July 5 at 9am.

Beginning Wednesday, July 5 , Murder She Wrote will settle into its regular daily broadcasts at 9am, 10am and 4pm ET/PT, joining Rizzoli & Isles, The Closer, Major Crimes and In Plain Sight.
