Beatles Music Quiz: How Well Do You Know Their Last Album ‘Let it Be?’

The Beatles’ title track of their 12th and final studio album, released on May 8, 1970, is widely regarded as one of the Beatles’ greatest songs ever. Paul McCartney says he wrote it after a dream in which his mother, who had died of cancer when he was a teen, appeared and whispered the words “let it be.” John Lennon and George Harrison brought in “Wall of Sound” producer Phil Spector to assemble the final album. He included three tracks recorded live at the band’s legendary rooftop concert at the Apple Corps headquarters in January 1969. Paul, however, was unhappy with Spector’s work, particularly the addition of orchestral and choral sounds to his simple piano ballads. In 2003, Paul initiated a remix of the album, titled Let It Be… Naked, mainly removing elements added by Spector and getting back to the band’s roots. Now that you know the history how well do you remember the tracks on it? Take our quiz and find out! We give you the name of a song and you just say true or false that it is on the album.
