Who’s Still Alive from ‘Hee Haw’?

Hee Haw first made its debut in 1969, blending country music, comedy sketches and a whole lot of charm and humor into a show that captured hearts across America. For more than two decades, its cast of singers, musicians and comedians became like old friends we could visit each week. While many of Hee Haw‘s beloved stars have sadly passed on, including Lulu Roman, who passed away on April 23 at the age of 78, a few familiar faces are still with us today. Here’s a look at who’s still alive from Hee Haw, along with remembering those we have lost:
Mike Snider (63)

Snider learned to play the banjo at the age of 16, and appeared on Hee Haw from 1990 to 1996 after being inducted as a member of the Grand Ole Opry by his costar, Minnie Pearl. He regularly performed at Opryland USA in the ’90s as well. He specializes in that “old time” mountain music sound that is so historic to country music. Sadly, his beloved wife, Sabrina (whom he often referred to as a Sweetie), died on April 24, 2024. They have two children.
Victoria Hallman (69)

Hallman joined Hee Haw in the early 1980s as one of the “Hee Haw Honeys” and continues to celebrate her time on the show. A former Miss Alabama contestant and talented singer, Hallman later toured with the legendary Buck Owens and has remained involved in entertainment over the years. In 2020, she co-wrote a memoir with her costar Diana Goodman titled Hollywood Lights, Nashville Nights: Two Hee Haw Honeys Dish Life, Love, Elvis, Buck, and Good Times in the Kornfield. Then in 2023, she released a long-lost album produced by Buck Owens, titled From Birmingham to Bakersfield.

Goodman brought her charm and beauty as a “Hee Haw Honey” for several seasons. Before Hee Haw, she won the title of Miss Georgia USA and even dated Elvis Presley.
Linda Thompson (74)

Thompson made early TV appearances as a “Hee Haw Honey” in the early 1970s. She transitioned from television to writing hit songs and even earned an Academy Award nomination for songwriting. Thompson also dated Presley before he passed away. She later married Bruce (now Caitlyn) Jenner and then David Foster, with both marriages ending in divorce.
Irlene Mandrell (69)

Everett Collection
Younger sister to country stars Barbara and Louise Mandrell, Irlene Mandrell appeared on Hee Haw in its later years as part of the “Hee Haw Honeys.” She later starred with her sisters on Barbara Mandrell and the Mandrell Sisters, and continues to perform and appear at country music events. In more recent years, she has appeared on outdoor shows, including a segment called “Irlene Mandrell: Straight Shooter” on PBS’s Tennessee’s Wildside.
