88-Year-Old Dyan Cannon Talks Life with Johnny Carson, Cary Grant and Her Current ‘Friends with Benefits’

88-year-old Dyan Cannon is not letting her age slow her down, as she revealed to PEOPLE that she is currently dating and admitted that she has several “friends with benefits.” In the past, Cannon has been linked to some very famous men, including Johnny Carson and Cary Grant. Last month, she opened up about her relationship with Carson for the CBS Sunday News special The Hidden Side of Johnny Carson.

Cannon and Carson dated in secret in the early ’60s before her marriage to Grant. She explained, “I rattled him, and I love that. We love it when we rattle men who aren’t usually rattled, don’t we? He loved it. We used to go to restaurants, and they’d shut down the entire restaurant for him.”
She added, “He was a special man. I’ve known a lot of special men. And there’s more to come.”

Unfortunately for nosy fans, Cannon did not reveal any names of her “special friends,” but the actress seems to be having a good time. However, Cannon was recently photographed with actor Michael Nouri at the 10th annual Hollywood Beauty Awards at Avalon Hollywood & Bardot on April 6, 2025. The pair dated sometime in the early ’80s, so perhaps they reconnected romantically in their 80s?
Cannon also had a high-profile marriage to Grant from 1965 to 1968. They have one child together, Jennifer Grant, born in 1966. After their divorce, things weren’t easy, and Cannon only permitted him to see their daughter on occasion for a while. Eventually, things settled down and they were able to co-parent, and remained friends until his death in 1986.

She shared with PEOPLE back in 1977, “My private scars are no longer open for inspection. Cary and I went through our own hell. Now we’ve become good friends.” She later married Stanley Fimberg from 1985 to 1991.
