FETV’s April Schedule Has John Wayne, Humphrey Bogart & Unaired Episodes of a ’70s Hit

FETV is your home for some of your favorite nostalgic series and movies, and this April, they are hoping to get you in the mood for spring and Easter with a new roundup of films, as well as some special episodes of the classic shows you know and love. For instance, on April 7, fans of Emergency! are in for a special treat as FETV is showing a previously unaired episode titled “Mascot” at 9:15pm ET.
If you enjoy slowing down on a Sunday afternoon and watching a movie from the past, FETV has got you covered too. Each Sunday at 3pm ET, they play a curated classic for the Sunday movie matinee. On April 6, the fun begins with Hellfighters, a 1968 adventure film starring John Wayne, Katharine Ross, Jim Hutton and Vera Miles, depicting a group of oil well firefighters.

On April 13, King of Kings (1961) will air for those who celebrate Easter as the film follows the story of Jesus Christ from his birth to death and resurrection. In addition, on Easter weekend from April 18-20, FMC presents several of the films showcasing the life of Jesus Christ including The Greatest Story Ever Told, Barabbas and Salome.
Then on April 20, John Wayne is back on your screen with one of his most famous films, True Grit. The 1969 film is about Marshal Cogburn and Texas Ranger La Boeuf who are hired by a young girl to find the outlaw who killed her father. Many believe that the novel turned movie is based on the real-life Deputy U.S. Marshal Henry “Heck” Thomas.

Lastly, on April 27, The Treasure of Sierra Madre (1948) will air, starring Humphrey Bogart, Walter Huston, Tim Holt and Bruce Bennett. Based on the novel of the same name, it follows two men down on their luck who join forces with an old prospector looking for gold.
You can also watch for classics Barney Miller, Quincy M.E., Highway Patrol, Leave It to Beaver, Beverly Hillbillies, Bewitched and many more. The 1960s comedy Hazel, starring Shirley Booth, was recently added to the schedule last month.
