On the webpage where young actresses 9-11 can submit their audition tapes, it is revealed that shooting for the new series will occur in Winnipeg, Canada, from approximately June to October 2025.
Though not much information has been released about the reboot, including who will play the Ingalls family adults or which parts of the original books will be used for the story, the casting page includes this description of the new series: “Part hopeful family drama, part epic survival tale, and part origin story of the American West, this fresh adaptation of Laura Ingalls Wilder’s iconic semi-autobiographical Little House books offers a kaleidoscopic view of the struggles and triumphs of those who shaped the frontier.”
