Actress Christina Ricci received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday, March 6, at 11:30am PT. Ricci. She has been working in Hollywood since she was a young girl, appearing in films such as Casper, The Addams Family and Sleepy Hollow in her younger years, as well as television shows Wednesday and Yellowjackets more recently. Ricci received the 2,803rd star dedicated since the Walk of Fame began in 1960.

“The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is honored to welcome actress Christina Ricci to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. From her remarkable start as a young talent to her enduring impact on the silver screen, Christina Ricci’s film career has been nothing short of extraordinary, earning her a well-deserved place among Hollywood’s brightest stars,” stated Ana Martinez, Walk of Fame producer.

This year, Ricci wrapped production on Guns Up, an action/comedy costarring Kevin James and directed by Edward Drake. She is also currently appearing in the third season of the show Yellowjackets, reprising her role as Misty Quigley.

Ricci’s career began at age 7, when a local theater critic took notice of her performance in a school Christmas play. By the time she was 8, she made her professional debut in 1990’s Mermaids, starring alongside Cher and Winona Ryder. But it was her portrayal of the dark and quirky Wednesday Addams in 1991’s The Addams Family and its sequel, 1993’s Addams Family Values, that solidified Ricci as a household name. She followed that with the hit 1995 film Casper, which earned her the NATO Show East Star of the Year Award and the Star of Tomorrow Award.
