Faster Pussycat Singer’s Fiancée Dies Falling Off Ship on ’80s-Themed Cruise

Kimberly Burch, the 56-year-old fiancée of Faster Pussycat frontman Taime Downe, is missing and presumed dead after going overboard on an ’80s-themed Royal Caribbean cruise around 11pm on March 3, 2025. Her mother, Carnell Burch, confirmed the news to TMZ that her daughter’s body remains missing. Carnell said that Kimberly and Taime had a heated argument while on the ship, and it is currently unclear if she jumped or accidentally fell off the ship. The couple had reportedly been together for around 5-6 years.
While Carnell said that her daughter was drinking alcohol while on the cruise and that was not typical for her, she said that she doesn’t believe she would jump or hurt herself. She fell roughly 20 miles away from Freeport, Bahamas.
A Royal Caribbean Group spokesperson said about the incident, “Our crew immediately launched a search-and-rescue effort, is working with local authorities, and we are providing support and assistance to the guest’s family during this difficult time. To respect the privacy of our guest’s family, we have no additional details to share.”

A U.S. Coast Guard spokesperson added that they were working with a helicopter crew and other personnel for the search, but efforts were later suspended. The cruise is scheduled to return to Miami on March 9.
