Thank you @lindaramone for introducing us — wish you’d been here with us!”
In the comments, Shag (whose real name is Josh Agle) even confirmed that they surprised Travolta with a cake for his birthday. The Shag House is a home that was built and furnished with Shag’s bold and nostalgic art. Branding and design specialist John-Patrick approached Shag with the concept and the pair worked together to find a midcentury home in Palm Springs that needed some work. Now, the home is available for charity and fundraising events, weddings, parties and much more.
Shag said about the home, “I want people to look at this house and say ‘That looks like 2030!’” Every inch of the home, indoors and out, reflects his unique drawing style and brings an amazing curb appeal to the neighborhood, including the custom lime-green front gates. He continued that the inspiration for the home design was to “wildly reimagine the 1958 home so that future visitors would feel as though they’ve climbed into a life-size version of one of his paintings.”
Travolta took photos around the property with the artist and friends, including the famous green gates. Happy birthday, John Travolta!
