Bryan Adams Had to Cancel a Show in Australia for a Totally Gross Reason

Singer Bryan Adams (“Summer of ’69,” “Run to You”) was forced to cancel a sold-out show at Perth’s RAC Arena in Australia because of … SEWAGE!
A “fatberg” — a massive clog of grease and other materials in a wastewater sewer — was causing backups in toilets and drains near the venue. Officials feared the blockage could cause toilets to overflow in the arena, potentially causing a health hazard and an incredibly nasty mess.
“Water Corporation crews are working to clear the large blockage of fat, grease and rags, which has caused several wastewater overflows” near the arena, Perth Water Corporation said in a statement. “People should avoid contact with any pooled water … as it may be sewage.”
Adams posted on Facebook to apologize to fans who’d been hoping to see him on his Roll With the Punches album tour.
It is a reminder to all that grease, fat, cloth rags and certain sanitary wipes should be disposed of properly and not poured down drains or flushed down toilets. Canadian singer-songwriters and their fans will thank you.
