FETV Celebrates 50th Anniversary of ‘Barney Miller’ With Fan Contest to Pick Best Episode
Now that we are in 2025, we get to celebrate the 50th anniversary of some of the most iconic television shows of 1975 — and FeTV is honoring the 50th anniversary of Barney Miller with a contest that lets fans vote for the show’s best episode of all time.
Barney Miller, a sitcom set in a New York City police department in Lower Manhattan, began on January 23, 1975, and ran for almost a decade, until May 20, 1982. Throughout the show’s run, stars Hal Linden, Max Gail, Ron Glass, Abe Vigoda and others worked to solve crimes and catch the bad guys. While the show centered around the fictional 12th precinct, sometimes an episode featured the detectives outside, in their homes or on a stakeout.
