Burger King Is Letting ‘The Addams Family’ Take Over the Menu
In honor of the changing seasons, many fast food restaurants give in to the holidays and give fans what they want: a fun, themed menu and collectible items. For Halloween this year, Burger King is reportedly getting inspired by the iconic television show The Addams Family. The family first premiered 60 years ago, spawning several movies and cartoons that have been a spooky-season staple ever since.
While Burger King has yet to confirm or deny this menu, the rumor has it that there will be four new limited-edition specialty menu items coming soon. In addition to new menu items, many of the restaurants will get a temporary makeover, complete with dimmed lighting, cobweb decorations and even new Addams Family-inspired uniforms for the workers.
The rumored menu items are the Wednesday Whopper on a purple bun, Thing’s Rings & Other Things in a special carton, Gomez’s Churro Fries with chocolate sauce, and Morticia’s Kooky Chocolate Shake with soft serve, chocolate cake batter fudge and sprinkles.

For fans of collectible items, there may also be new collectible cups, toys and even a special crown featuring the characters. If food blogger Markie Devo, who often shares these kinds of spoilers, is correct, the changes will happen by Oct. 10, 2024.
While some fans seem excited about the promotion, others were questioning it, especially the purple burger bun. Many people pointed out that while fun colored foods might seem fun, it isn’t always great to see them come out the next day. What do you think? Will you be trying any of these menu items or checking out the Burger King location changes?
