Whatever Happened to Eddie Money’s Five Children?
Eddie Money, the multiplatinum singer-songwriter best known for his ’70s and ’80s Top 40 hits like “Take Me Home Tonight” and “Two Tickets to Paradise,” sadly died on Sept. 13, 2019, at age 70 from stage 4 esophageal cancer. While building his successful music career, Money found love and married Laurie Harris in 1989. They had five children during their long marriage, and even renewed their vows just three months before his death.
Many of the Money children followed in their father’s footsteps and have sparked music careers of their own, touring with Eddie as his opening acts and playing in his band up until his death. You may also remember meeting Money’s family and their eight dogs on the reality show Real Money in 2018. Money said that he was a big fan of the reality show The Osbournes and hoped his family’s own reality show would help jumpstart his kids’ music careers. At the time, he joked, “We’re kind of like the Partridge family, only dysfunctional.” Let’s find out more about his kids and what they’re up to now.
Zachary (Zach) Money
Zach is the oldest of the clan and unlike many of his siblings, he isn’t as interested in music. He does help to maintain the business side of things and loves to work out. When his father was alive, he acted as his personal trainer and kept his family in shape while out on the road. Zach is around 38 years old and he celebrates his birthday on Halloween each year.
Jessica (Jesse) Money
Jessica, who often goes by Jesse, is the only daughter of Eddie and Laurie. At 36 years old, she has spent a lot of her life performing alongside her dad and rocking out in her brother Dez’s band. Jesse was also seen on the Food Network reality show Worst Cooks in America and appears on The Very Very Best of the ’80s on AXS TV.

She once called her father her best friend and said she aims to continue his legacy by playing his music.
Joseph (Joe) Money
Joe, about 33 years old, opted for a different type of musical career and works as a dubstep producer. During the family’s reality show days, he joked that he can’t sing but is proud to be in the family because everyone works so hard, no matter what their passion is.
Julian Money
Julian is a drummer who has played in his father’s and brother Dez’s bands. He credits his father for inspiring his love of music.
Desmond (Dez) Money
Dez, around 31 years old, performs as a singer-songwriter as well as a guitarist, fronting his own band that contains many of his siblings. His brother Julian joins on drums, while Jesse provides background vocals.
