Before her sudden death in January 2023, Lisa Marie Presley was working on a memoir about her life. Luckily for fans, her daughter, actor Riley Keough has helped to complete the memoir and will be publishing it with Random House this year. The book, titled From Here to the Great Unknown, is likely a reference to the song “Where No One Stands Alone,” which Lisa Marie released as a posthumous duet with her father, Elvis Presley in 2018.

The cover art features a photo of a young Lisa Marie sitting in front of her father. The memoir is set to be released on October 15, 2024, and Random House confirmed the news on social media. The publishing company wrote, “We are honored to share the cover and title of this much-anticipated memoir. Born to an American myth and raised in the wilds of Graceland, Lisa Marie Presley tells her whole story in this one-of-a-kind memoir completed by her daughter, Riley Keough.”

Reportedly, Lisa Marie asked Riley to complete the memoir before her death. After she passed away, Riley listened to tapes that her mother recorded sharing stories from her life, including her time living at Graceland and moving to Los Angeles with her mother Priscilla Presley after Elvis died. The book also details her marriages. Lisa Marie was married to Danny Keough and had Riley and her late brother Benjamin. She was married briefly to Michael Jackson, Nicolas Cage and later Michael Lockwood, with whom she shared twins, Finley Lockwood and Harper Lockwood.

Riley shared about finishing the book, “It’s just something that I felt I needed to do for her and help her complete that project. It’s very bittersweet and I’m happy to do that for her.” She added about reading the draft, “It makes me feel very close to her.” Pre-order the book here.
