Lee Greenwood Releases First-Ever Vinyl of ‘American Patriot’ For 40th Anniversary
After just opening up for Presidential front runner Donald Trump at the RNC, country music legend Lee Greenwood has been celebrating a very special anniversary. It has been 40 years since the release of his anthem “God Bless the U.S.A.” To celebrate, Greenwood is releasing his first-ever vinyl for his album American Patriot, which includes the song plus other patriotic tunes like “The Pledge of Allegiance” and “This Land is Your Land.”
The record will be pressed on red, white, and blue ‘fireworks’ splatter vinyl, making it a very rare and exciting gift for fans. It will be released in time for July 4th, 2024. The album was initially released back in 1992 and featured some of Greenwood’s most patriotic songs.
He said about the vinyl, “I’m honored to have such a fantastic relationship with Universal Music and am truly grateful for their efforts to release my anthemic patriotic album on vinyl in time for the 4th of July. It’s beautiful and is an impressive display of the creative products that our fans can enjoy!”
The album is available for pre-order now on his website and there may be some signed copies available too! It will be released at physical retailers nationwide on June 28, 2024, if you’d rather pick it up in a store. If you don’t need a vinyl but simply want to listen to the album, you can stream it on Spotify, Amazon Music, YouTube and more.
In addition, An All-Star Salute To Lee Greenwood was recently released on DVD and Blu-Ray featuring performances by stars such as The Oak Ridge Boys, Big & Rich and more as they paid tribute to Greenwood. A companion album of the same name is available on streaming if you’d rather just listen to the 21 songs from the event. Will you be purchasing the vinyl or DVD? Then let us know, what is your favorite patriotic song to play on the Fourth of July?
