Victoria Principal Shares Never-Before-Seen Note For ‘Dallas’ Mom Priscilla Pointer’s 100th Birthday
Priscilla Pointer is a retired actress, best known for her role as Rebecca Barnes Wentworth in Dallas. She recently celebrated a very special milestone as she turned 100 years old! Some of her former Dallas co-stars were quick to wish her a “Happy Birthday.” Victoria Principal, who played her daughter, Pamela Barnes Ewing, on the long-running series shared a very special birthday wish that doubled as a treat for fans.
The 74-year-old got nostalgic as she shared a black-and-white photo of one of their mother-daughter scenes. She added a handwritten note from Pointer that read, “Dear Victoria, thanks for the lovely flowers and dear note. We won’t lose touch — you are very special to me. Priscilla.”

Principal captioned the photo, “This is the photo and note that Priscilla Pointer gifted to me when she left the Dallas series. My Dallas mama turns 100 today. Happy Birthday dear Priscilla! Love, Victoria ❤️” Principal has spoken about how she felt very drawn to the character of Pamela but wasn’t shy about leaving when she felt the character had wrapped up her story.

She admitted that she felt the writing had declined and decided to leave the show after nine seasons. Principal explained, “I was very candid about my concern and my disappointment; that we had had such good writing and so many wonderful plots, and that when the time came to renegotiate the writers’ contracts, I felt that a number of writers had left because they had not gotten the right deal.” Even so, she said that she is happy that new generations are experiencing the show for the first time and how the characters live on.
