AC/DC fans have finally heard the big new announcement from the rock band. The band was posting a few cryptic videos, featuring part of their song “Are You Ready?” For instance, one showcased the number 5, which revealed a countdown to when the announcement will be made.

After rumors were swirling for days, AC/DC has confirmed that it is indeed a European tour, the first one in about eight years. The POWER UP Tour will begin in Germany and head to Italy, England, Spain, Austria, the Netherlands, Switzerland, France, Slovakia, and Ireland. The tour will run this year, from May through August.

AC/DC last released an album in 2020 so they will be sharing newer music. On this tour, two new members have signed on including former Jane’s Addiction bassist Chris Chaney and touring drummer Matt Laug. They are replacing retired bassist Cliff Williams and drummer Phil Rudd. AC/DC has been around since 1973, founded by Australian brothers Malcolm and Angus Young. This tour is also celebrating their 50th anniversary.
